Fundraisers ~ 2006

The owners of DOGMA Bakery & Boutique in Arlington, VA, Mike and Mary, decided to use their annual Halloween event in 2006 to have a "Spooktacular" Charity Auction to benefit the dogs at their favorite :-) rescue group, Good Dog! Rescue.

There were raffles, silent auctions with lots of things to win, such as a sitting with nationally known local photographer Matt Mendelsohn (whose black and white photos adorn Dogma's walls), plush dog beds, gift certificates for restaurants, doggie day care, pet walking services and more.

The Lebanese Taverna in Arlington, VA, donated the the food.
Hmmmm, yummy!

Of course the event also included a contest for the best doggie costumes and many strange looking "creatures" attended.
It was a howling success!

In February 2006, friends of Good Dog! Rescue, Anj and Debbie,
celebrated the birthdays of their beloved fur babies Charlie and Gertie.

As many of you know, Charlie and Gertie are adopted furkids, so
they wanted to help dogs less fortunate than they are by hosting a silent pawction with
proceeds going to the dogs at Good Dog! Rescue.

They asked all who celebrated with them, in lieu of gifts,
to take part in a silent pawction or to make a donation to Good Dog! Rescue.
