We are very sorry to have to tell you that sweet little Hope died today.

In addition to her awful abuse and neglect, Hope became ill with parvo, and her poor, terribly compromised immune system just couldn't fight it.

We appreciate all of the support and contributions made to help her get better, and we will apply these generous gifts to our other dogs in need (for instance sweet Maureen) or to our next Pit Bull that needs our help. We will also understand if you would prefer your contribution to be refunded since it was specifically meant to help Hope, please let us know if you would like a refund.

We can not thank you enough for your help, and can only assure you that her last days were full of love, affection, and the best medical care available.
We will be following up on the criminal case and will do everything in our power to ensure that this monstor is prosecuted for poor little Hope's death and needless suffering.

Thank you so much for your support.

Run free at the Rainbow Bridge, Little One.
YOU ARE LOVED!
 ~~~~~~
From Your Grief
When darkness surrounds you,
And pain seems everywhere,
Only one light can shine through,
Break the despair -
It takes different forms,
Can be hard to see
With a heart that is broken and sore.
Yet - look closer - it will set you free.
Let your tears cleanse your soul -
Let your grief open your heart.
And then you can see in whole,
Clear, close, what first seemed so far.
The light shines from an angel -
Forever pure and free -
Its name - Hope -
Hope is a sweet six-months old baby girl who has spent most of her short life so far in misery, discomfort and unbearable pain.
Her former "owner & guardian" ignored her very treatable demodectic mange until she had virtually no hair left on her body, and her whole head is basically one painful large scab. This same man then bound her legs together so she could not scratch herself to find relief.
You can see the results of this careless and cruel act in her pictures.
Since her left front paw is dead below the open wound, Hope will have to have that leg amputated, but we are desperately trying to save her other legs and paws which, as you can see in the pictures, are very swollen from the cruel bindings she endured.
We want to nurse her back to good health and show her that puppies are supposed to be loved and spoiled, that puppies are supposed to play and have fun and be happy.
In spite of her pain and misery, Hope is a sweet and affectionate little girl.
Her veterinary costs will be extensive, but we will do everything in our power to give little Hope a chance at a normal life.
Please help us help Hope with a donation towards her medical care.
She deserves it!
